What happens to your details when you write to us, and what doesn't.

The short version

This website does not store anything about you. It sets no cookies, and it does not follow you around the internet. When you write to us through the Sit with us form, your message is sent to the chapter's inbox as an email and nothing is kept on the website itself.

What we collect, and why

Only what the form asks for: your name, your email address, the city nearest you, and anything you choose to write. We use it for one purpose — to reply to you and to tell you when we next gather. We ask you to tick a box first, so it is your decision.

We do not sell or share your details, and we do not add you to anything you have not asked for. If you would like us to forget you, write to us and we will delete your email from our inbox.

Who else is involved

Running a website means relying on a few companies. These are all of them, what each one does, and where it keeps data. Some of them are outside Canada, which means your details may be handled in another country, under that country's laws.

Counting visits

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It uses no cookies and does not build a profile of you, which is why this site has no cookie banner.

Photographs

We publish a small, chosen selection of photographs from our gatherings. If you appear in one and would rather not, tell us and we will take it down. You do not have to explain why.

Your rights

Under Canada's PIPEDA, and Law 25 in Quebec, you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will answer.
